The daily work in the studio is what I enjoy.  Designing and building furniture allows me the opportunity to explore the dynamic that exists between utility and beauty.  My pieces are intended for use.  I want them to wear and develop their own skin.  I love to look at antiques, sculpture and furnishings in particular, and imagine their origins, their history.  I try to produce work that will endure the steady test of time.
